Not all accessories will work with your doll unless you take the necessary steps to prepare your doll to receive the many magnetic products available.

When considering reborn magnetic pacifiers for example, you will need to make sure that you have a neutral metal disk mounted inside of your doll's head or hand, or wherever, that can receive any polarity of pacifier, headband, hair bow, or other item.  If you purchase an item that already has the magnet attached then the polarities may not match.  It's not the end of the world though.  It is an easy fix, but it's always nice just to receive an item that you know will be compatible with your doll.

When purchasing a reborn doll accessory that does contain a magnet, it's important to read warnings about magnets in general.  Typically, the magnets used in the doll pacifiers and other items are fairly small and they shouldn't cause any significant problems.  Still, it's always wise to check out what the effects of magnets can be in general and as with any of the fake, faux, doll props and accessories, keeping them away from small children is really a necessity unless you are constantly supervising them as they play.  There is plenty of information online about the effects of magnets.  You can simply go to Bing or Google and type in the keywords magnet warnings and you will get all of the information that you need.

There are some who say that using magnetic pacifiers and magnets in other doll items are not a good idea.  That is quite a controversial statement.  Like anything else in life, if you are informed and you take the time to learn what types of materials you are dealing with, magnets should not be a threat to anyone.  In fact, magnets are used to heal sore bodies and are sold in bracelets and necklaces everywhere.  The convenience of having a magnetic baby doll accessory far outweighs the dangers if all of the warnings are heeded.
